The Helping Hands program is a classroom and office volunteer program for parents, or other helpful persons, who would be interested in “lending a helping hand” to Cornerstone teachers in and out of the classroom, as well as assisting office personnel.
The program aids the teacher by taking on some of the time consuming duties that are important to running a classroom. This will benefit the whole class by affording the teacher more effective use of class time and the potential for extra class activities.
In addition to helping the teachers, the Helping Hands program gives parents the opportunity to be more involved in their child’s class and school as well as having a chance to exercise some of their talents.
Those interested in becoming a Helping Hands volunteer should contact the school office to see if anyone has requested a Helping Hand. A brief volunteer orientation is provided to explain the requirements and equip volunteers to be effective helpers.
