Classroom Visit

For more information, contact Jennifer Meister, Admissions Director, at (916) 334-6236 or .

A classroom visit is an important aspect of “Getting to Know Us” at Cornerstone Christian School. Here is what you need to know about such visits:

Fathers, mothers, and children entering sixth grade or above next year are welcome to visit. Father and mother may visit at different times or on different dates. We are very sorry, but due to the need to protect our learning atmosphere, younger siblings may not come along.

Please spend as much time as you like observing any of our classrooms. Most parents spend the bulk of their time in the class in which they hope to enroll their child; however, visits to other classrooms are welcomed also. Many parents have found a visit to the playground during recess helpful in getting the “big picture” of our school.

A large number of families visit our school each year. You can help us maintain our learning atmosphere by being “a fly on the wall” in the classroom. If you have any questions, please address them to the Admissions Director, or speak to the teacher at break.

A visit on Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. is preferred. Because most tests are given on Fridays, a visit on that day would not provide you with the clearest picture of academic instruction. Please feel free to come on a Friday, if your schedule only allows for a visit on that day of the week.

We are located at 5073 Andrea Blvd., Sacramento, CA 95842 near the Greenback exit of I-80.

Choosing a school for your child is a big decision. No matter how thorough we attempt to be in print, there is nothing like experiencing the classroom atmosphere for yourself. We encourage lengthy and repeated visits. Please don’t be shy. We also encourage you to visit other schools so that you may better see our distinctives.

Appointments are necessary because of heavy demand and space limitations. Please contact Jennifer Meister at (916) 334-6236 or e-mail She will be happy to make an appointment for you. If at all possible, please schedule your visit at least 48 hours in advance.

When you arrive, please stop at the school office. You will get a name tag and the Admissions Director will meet you. She will take you to the first class you wish to visit and, when possible, introduce you to the teacher. From there, you may proceed on your own to any other classes you wish to observe.

We look forward to your visit!
