Boys and Girls Volleyball

Junior high and high school boys and girls may participate in our volleyball program from August through October. The teams play as associate members of CIF (California Interscholastic Federation). They play one or two games per week and at a couple of tournaments during the season.

Boys and Girls Soccer

Seventh grade through 12th grade boys and girls may join our soccer teams. Practices and games run from August through October. CCS plays as an associate member of the CIF League, playing other small schools within CIF. Our games, however, do not count towards any standings, rankings, etc. within CIF.

Boys Basketball

High school boys may take part in our basketball program. The team plays as an associate member of CIF. Practices begin in November and culminate with the final game in February.

Field Day

Every spring, Cornerstone students go to a local park and compete with each other in races, challenges, cheers, and games. Field Day is the culmination of a year’s worth of planning and effort put forth by six teams consisting of students in grades one through twelve. (Kindergarten students have their own Field Day.) Team captains and co-captains lead their charges throughout the year as they select team names, memorize theme Bible verses, make up team cheers, and practice their teams’ songs. Points are accumulated as these feats are accomplished and as the students physically compete on Field Day. The team with the most points at the end of the day is victorious. This event exemplifies much of what we are trying to accomplish as a school—to raise up servant-leaders.

Individual sports are offered based upon student interest.
