Philosophy of Student Activities

Cornerstone Christian School believes that it is essential that we offer a variety of special programs and extra-curricular activities to help provide an education that will produce well rounded students.  We are also actively engaged in developing leadership skills in our students that will be necessary for whatever their future callings may be.  Therefore, we work hard to provide many different well-run programs in which our students may be involved.  We have a school administrator who serves as our Student Activities Director, and we have the help of many parent volunteers.

Cornerstone Christian School participates in student activities sponsored by the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) each school year.

In addition to ACSI activities, there are many CCS sponsored student functions such as: JH and HS Girls Volleyball, JH and HS Boys Soccer, HS Boys Basketball, HS Girls Soccer, Boys and Girls Soccer (through RYSC), Fire Prevention week, Community Service Projects, Poetry Contest, Art Fair, Creative Writing Contest, Christmas Music Festival, Christmas Caroling, Courtship and Virtue Seminar, Reformation Day activities, High School Drama Productions, Field Day, Literature Days, and Spring Concert, to name most of them.

We continue to explore other sports we can add to our athletic offerings. In everything we do, the goal is to glorify God and to enjoy Him forever.  In sports, that means doing our best unto the Lord, being a good Christian witness, and enjoying the camaraderie of team sports.
