Parent Education Classes

We have a number of different classes and seminars available to our parents. We ask that all families new to the school enroll in our Case for Kids class and our Peacemaker small group study.  These classes will allow parents to become familiar with our basic school philosophies and will better equip the home and school to work together.

The Case for Kids (class) – Encompasses both Age of Opportunity and Shepherding a Child’s Heart.

Tedd and Paul Tripp uncover the heart issues affecting parents, their children, and their teenagers.  They discuss parenting from before the “terrible twos” through the adolescent years.  We will cover topics like “What is family/?”, and “Helping Kids see God’s Glory”.  Class discussion follows each week’s video presentation.  This 7-week class begins in September of each year.

The Peacemaker (small group study)

This study teaches people how to apply biblical peacemaking principles to resolve family, business, and church conflicts.  Topics addressed will include when and how to confront others effectively, how to achieve genuine reconciliation, and how to deal with unreasonable people.  The Young Peacmaker is for children ages 7-14 and will be taught at the same time as the parents’ study.  This 8-week study begins in January of each year.

Courtship and Dating Seminar (half-day seminar)
Note: This seminar is required for all new parents, and for junior high and senior high students.
