The High Cost of Losing Our Literacy
A 2023 Gallup survey focusing on the social media habits of U.S. teens reported that over half of the teens surveyed spent at least four hours a day on social media and other apps. Reading books simply cannot compete. There is a direct negative correspondence between the amount of time spent on smartphones and a student’s grades and success in school.
We, Christians, must hold the line on limiting screen time for our children; the child’s education, faith, and future depend on it.
